This large Asset Manager, based in the Emirates, has a strong commitment to leveraging market innovations in technology and data to deliver high-quality returns.  They now seek a Senior Market Data Specialist to assist with managing and improving their global data sets for their low-frequency global equities investing and be part of a dynamic, collaborative investment team. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES;

• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for financial market data from multiple vendors in a team that builds fully automated trading systems that execute across the world markets.
• Address major data issues such as those related to data quality, inconsistencies, and availability.
• Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancements of in-house tools and platforms for processing, monitoring, and researching market data.
• Establish processes to ensure high data quality and availability in a systematic setting.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• 8 years’ experience working with several financial Market Data vendors (e.g., FactSet, MSCI, Bloomberg, etc.) and some experience within a systematic, buy-side environment.
• Extensive hands-on experience working with of large-scale, resilient market data systems.
• Deep understanding of financial market data, including its monitoring, quality checking, and analysis.
• Masters in scientific discipline from a top university
• Strong Python and SQL is required
