This truly outstanding alternative asset manager has nearly $45 billion across a range of Structured Credit, CLOs, Loans, High Yield, etc., now seeks to hire an experienced Director of Portfolio Analytics to build out a robust data analytics and reporting team and direct their Firmwide data/reporting architecture overseeing the implementation of new platforms, processes across the Firm.

Based in London, reporting Global Head in New York, you’ll partner closely with PMs, Technology, & Operations, and manage a small team of specialists.  You’ll also need great communication skill to explain technical financial and data science issues to Risk, PMs and Distribution.


  • Organize a Team of Business/Data Analysts and Product SME’s
  • Oversee Team: Manage pipeline & priorities; Set directives for individuals and Team
  • Collaborate across the Firm to identify areas of improvement
  • Analyze current business processes, and data models/sources, provide strategic guidance
  • Evaluate potential systems/platforms to determine relevance for current processes
  • Drive the development of an automated, dynamic reporting environment
  • Lead the implementation of new platforms, processes and reporting
  • Communicate with senior management regarding ongoing initiatives


  • 8-12 years of experience within financial services - Alternatives is preferred
  • Mix of finance/accounting and technology responsibilities
  • Proven experience in project management/oversight, with strong communication skills
  • Experience with data analytics and business intelligence applications  - Alteryx and Tableau preferred
  • Experience with data/system migration, database administration a plus
  • Experience working with debt instruments (including bank debt, bonds, equity, and derivative instruments), preferably in a hedge fund, private equity or audit environment)
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, SQL SharePoint a plus
  • Build strong relationships at all levels within the Firm
