This top-tier Investment Bank is a leading providers of Electronic Trading solutions globally. They now seek an experienced risk and controls manager to be their go-to person for all aspects of eTrading ops risks as mandated by the eTrading risk committee. The role is within first line of defence and offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders across the firm.


  • Lead eTrading incident reviews and deep dives across Global Markets
  • Chair eTrading meetings and controls review
  • Manage a small team responsible for driving controls assessments
  • Chair bi-weekly eTrading forums
  • Signoff for new algorithm releases & owner of central repository of algorithms across theBank
  • Develop and build out a workflow tool solution for eTrading risk assessments
  • Support the development of an ongoing eTrading monitoring framework and implement changes
  •  Coordinator of eTrading limit reviews
  • Author and maintain eTrading Operations Policies


  • Strong knowledge of the Electronic Trading lifecycle including: Initiation; Generation; Routing: Placement; & Execution (confirmation)
  • Strong knowledge of Electronic Trading activities – including:  Algorithmic Trading; High Frequency Trading; Direct Market Access; Sponsored Access; Other electronic automated methods
    • Strong knowledge of RFQ lifecycle: client enquiry; routing,pricing, publication, execution
    • Extensive Investment Banking Experience
    • Excellent commercial awareness
    • Minimum of BSc in Computer Science, Maths, Stats, Engineering or Physics
    • Strong oral and written communication and stakeholder management skills and providing reports and briefing materials to Senior Management


    • Previous experience gained in, for example:  model validation, trading, software development, production management and/or quality assurance of trading algorithms
    • Experience in programming in a mixed language environment such as Java, Python and C++
    • KDB time series database with Q as a programming language
