This truly outstanding alternative asset manager has nearly $80 billion across a range of Structured Credit & specialist Lending, High Yield, etc.  They now seek a Data & AI Business Solutions Lead to join their global Business Development team.  This is a new role, located in London, reporting directly to the COO of Business Development. 

You’ll work with cutting-edge data & AI technologies to design, build, implement and integrate Data, AI, and Processes across Business Development, Data Analytics, IT and with their broader global AI team.   You should be passionate about using data analytics, process automation & AI tools to help this firm stay ahead of the curve in this rapidly evolving field.  You’ll will need a strong a mix of Business analysis/Process re-engineering (preferably gained at a large Consulting firm), Data & AI skills & experience, and deliver solutions that bring those elements together

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analysing current business processes and data models within Business Development to identify areas of process improvement
  • Working with COO to prioritise use cases based on adoptability, impact to the business, cost, and effort
  • Identify solutions, optimise data architecture, apply AI & automation tools to streamline ways of working, and ensure proposed solutions are fit for purpose and readily adopted
  • Assess & evaluate potential systems/platforms to determine relevance for current processes
  • Lead the implementation of agreed initiatives:
    - Gathering business requirements
    - Design & implement data, process & AI solutions
    - Ensure timely delivery and communicating to senior management
    - Deliver tailored training & user guides
    - Creating metrics to appropriately monitor and evaluate the effectiveness & adoption of solutions
  • Stay abreast of the latest data analytics & AI developments, trends & use cases within asset management/alternatives and providing insights and recommendations to BD management team

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 6-10 years of financial services experience, preferably with some experience of Asset Management/Alternatives distribution or Front Office;
  • Consultancy experience in a client facing, Front Office role would be highly advantageous
  • Experience with data warehousing, data/system migration, database administration, and large data sets (SQL)
  • Experience with data analytics and business intelligence applications (e.g. SQL, Python)
  • Experience with AI and process automation tools (e.g. CoPilot, Power Platform)
  • Proven track record of analysing business processes and designing, building, and driving adoption for technology-led process improvements within a distribution or front office environment
  • Proven experience in Project Management, with strong ability to track & drive projects to completion
  • Experience working side by side Front Office business teams within an institutional financial services environment – sales, traders, PMs, etc., is essential
  • Masters in Scientific discipline.  MBA a plus.
